Together it’s running

Just under 800 KUKAns start at runs in Augsburg and Obernburg. Fun and sore muscles guaranteed. Conclusion: Running together is simply better.

On Thursday, 17-May-2018, the time had come. Lacing up running shoes, running shirts on, and off: 728 registered runners from KUKA started in the Augsburg company run. Thus, for the fourth time already in succession, KUKA was the company with the second highest number of participants. With ideal weather conditions the first runners already crossed the finishing line shortly after the start. KUKAn Svenja Gliem needed only 23:45.4 minutes for the 6,3 km distance and thus was the second fastest runner. Together with her team “Breaking2 Ladies Edition” consisting of Larissa Bergmair, Dorothea Raich and Laura Schwarzbach she came in second place in the ladies team ranking.

Also in the 13th edition of the Römerlauf in Obernburg on 13-May some 40 KUKAns went to the starting line. The fastest runner of them was Rüdiger Fecher, it took him 41:12.4 minutes for the 10 km distance. For years already, he has taken part in the Römerlauf: “Running with so many colleagues is just a great thing. I think our motto fits pretty well: “Never stop a running system”. Nico Kowarschik also greatly enjoys this event. In advance, he practiced with his eight-year-old daughter at the weekends and he believes: “A wonderful team event, where you motivate yourself together with colleagues from all fields and fight your way forward.”

Sports and leisure teams of the KUKA personnel are united under the slogan “KUKA sports”. They organize themselves and meet regularly for various sports. Keeping fit is rated very high and the preparations for the next events are already “running”, e.g. for the “B2 run” in Bremen on 29-May-2018 for which KUKA will register 73 participants.
